Ik had deze film dus honestly nog nooit gezien, en tijdens mijn laatste datenight kwam dit ter sprake, en prompt werd ik voor de TV gezet. I mean, het doet zijn best 'anders' te zijn. Het heeft overduidelijk last van het 'oude film verhaal tempo' waar onze modern zoomer brains niet meer tegen kunnen, slome pacing, focus op conversaties etc. En toen, kwam de 2e helft van de film. jesus christ ik weet niet wat ik verwachtte, maar het was niet -dat-. Ik zat als een genuine suprised pikachu naar het scherm te staren. Absolute batshit insane scenes. Leuke supportcast, goeie maincast, George Clooney als main character maar bad guy, verkoopt echt absoluut de film voor me. Zijn samenwerking met Quenting Tarantino die, lets face it, niet de beste acteur is, bevestigd voor mij de theorie dat Clooney het beste is als hij iemand heeft om vanaf te bouncen met acting (zie alle Ocean films). Overal, leuke relic of the Ages, maar man man man het is zo komisch slecht over de top.

From Dusk till Dawn is a 1996 American black comedy horror crime film directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino. It stars George Clooney, Tarantino, Harvey Keitel and Juliette Lewis. After enjoying modest success at the box office, it has since become a cult film. It was followed by two direct-to-video prequels, From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money and From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter. They were both received poorly by critics. Danny Trejo is the only actor to appear in all three, although Michael Parks appears in both From Dusk till Dawn and The Hangman's Daughter. Rodriguez, Tarantino and Lawrence Bender served as producers on all three movies.
